So here’s the rundown: my skin has been a struggle for as long as I can remember. High school me was broke and couldn’t afford to find any good fixes, so I carried it with me to college. I got tired of it and fixed what I could immediately. Here’s what that looked like by April of 2018.
I moved back to Miami in May of 2018 and decided it was time for another change. The facial hair wasn’t a huge issue anymore, cause I got into the habit of shaving my face whenever I showered. I started a new skincare regimen with products that were way too expensive for me, so I couldn’t consistently repurchase the products when they were emptied and because of that, my skin was better, but not where I wanted and it wasn’t consistently great. Those products, though, will always be what marks the beginning of my journey with finding an effective but simple routine.
In January of 2019 I decided to jump on the internet bandwagon and try using Curology. It was the best decision I’ve made for my skin in a super long time. A week into using it, my skin was glowing, my pores were smaller, my hyperpigmentation and texture were gone.
Point is - if you have a concern, it's okay to take a risk and try something new with your routine but remember that your skin is sensitive so it also needs time to breathe, rest and recover. There are a lot of beauty brands out there and the only way to truly know if they'll work for you is by trying them.
