Okay, let’s be honest, the summer to fall transitional period is the best but also kind of the worst. It’s chilly enough for your coziest hoodie in the morning, but by the time noon hits, the sun is blazing and you’re regretting every piece of clothing you put on in your sleepy haze. Here are a few of my favorite pieces for that weird but beautiful time of year:
I got these from Target. They're so cute and comfortable and can be paired with virtually any top. I love wearing a sweater with these and channeling my inner Tan France with a French tuck. You always wanna go for a pant that's not gonna be too heavy when it's hot out, but also are not so light that you can feel the breeze on your legs.
I'm not usually one to wear dresses, but in the fall, I feel like they're such a staple. You wanna find a dress that you can dress up or down depending on the occasion. My favorite way to dress down a dress (say that five times fast), is to pair it with some sneakers. And you can always make it look a little more fancy by adding some cute heeled sandals, a cropped jacket, and some accessories.
This piece is worn year round. I have it in a few colors and they're my absolute favorite thing to throw on and head out the door looking a little more put together. It's so much more flattering on the waist because it's cropped. A cropped jacket is a staple item that I think will be in my closet for many years to come. Read more on cropped jackets here.
4. A cozy cropped hoodie
This is my most recent purchase for fall and to say I have been living in it since I got it would be a major understatement. It's so cozy and warm and perfect for hanging out inside in the A/C pretending that it's cold outside (Miami problems). For chillier days, this hoodie would go perfectly under an oversized jacket or coat and be super warm. But my favorite thing to pair it with would definitely be a pair of sweatpants and fuzzy socks!
Summer to Fall is a weird time. You're not sure if your outfit is gonna make you too hot, or not be warm enough. But there's so many different pieces out there that you can layer up, accessorize, and just have fun with until you figure out what you're most comfortable in. #andieandaj with any of your Fall looks and enjoy this season!
